My name is Charla Fashing. I am an artist from central Missouri with experience in fine art, murals, fashion design, and the culinary arts. Recently, I've started to share my passion for art by teaching small groups of fun-loving people to learn how to paint using painting parties .... more on that here soon.
From a young age, I have always been an artist. My BFA is from Stephens College with a major in Fashion Design and a minor in fine art. After an internship in Manhattan and a short career in fashion, I realized the big city wasn’t for me. I am a small-town country girl at heart. I continue to draw from my experience in textiles and cloth in my fine art and even culinary arts.
You may notice my love for wine, grapes, and fashion in my artwork. In fact, I own a small vineyard with my husband on our family’s farm and we're working towards our own winery – we are will soon be going pro ... more about that here soon.
I operated a mural and faux finish company for over 5 -years full time with my identical twin sister. I had fun meeting different people and creating unique decor and artwork for them. I still enjoy creating art and continue to do commissioned fine art and mural projects for clients.
